Chemtura Corporation has completed extensive renovations to its two facilities in Naugatuck to allow the relocation of up to 70 employees to Naugatuck from their Middlebury Headquarters location. The renovations to the 12 Spencer Street and #310 Building on Elm Street has allowed the company to relocate their scientific staff to new "state of the art" science laboratories in approximately 60,000 sq. ft. of building space. The company has invested over $10,000,000 in building renovations in the Borough which will be eligible for Enterprise Zone benefits and other State of Connecticut incentives for job retention projects.
